11-10-11 ALL COMMUNITY MEETING and ANNUAL BOARD ELECTION at 7 PM. Amenity Center. Out of town homeowners or those not able to make the meeting can submit your votes by proxy. Please email a roberds@asihhi.com if you need a new ballot. Questions can be directed to the management company, ASI. We currently have two open positions on the HOA Board of Directors. Self-nominations are accepted. Votes are valid as long as all fees are current.
10-8-11 COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE 8 AM to 12 PM. A Goodwill truck will be coming through the neighborhood to pick up any unwanted items around 1 PM.
5-1-11 COMMUNITY COOKOUT AND POOL PARTY ON SATURDAY, MAY 14TH! 11 AM TO 2 PM. Bring a dish to share and your own beverages. We are having a joint get together with the Villages at Berwick neighborhood so come out and meet your neighbors!
4-17-11 THE POOL IS NOW OPEN FOR THE SEASON! Please make sure you have your activated amenity card in order to gain access to the amenity area. Problems or questions about your amenity card can be addressed with Alan at aroberds@asihhi.com.
4-8-11 THE POOL IS NOT YET OPEN FOR SWIMMING! We have to wait until we get approval from the Health Department until residents can swim. We expect this to happen by the middle of April. UNtil then, the water is not safe for swimmers.
3-23-11 The fitness center now has tinted windows, fans, and timers on the fans and lights to prevent them being left on. This will help control the heat in the fitness center during the hot summer months!
We are busy preparing Chapel Park for summer! You may have noticed new pinestraw being spread and other landscape work done around the community. Please clean up trash that may have blown from your yard into the common areas in order to keep everything looking nice. This includes cleaning up after your pets immediately after they go.
A work day has been scheduled to prepare for the pool opening (hopefully) in mid-April. If you would like to help, please join us on Saturday morning, April 2nd at the pool amenity. We will be pressure washing, painting, and putting out the pool furniture, among other things.
We are currently in the process of transitioning to a management company for our HOA. Associa/ASI Management will be handling all financial issues including processing checks, delinquent accounts, mailing statements, etc. Any billing question can be directed to Alan Roberds at aroberds@asihhi.com. Or call 843-757-7074.
2-11-11 There is a new addition to our fitness center here at Chapel Park! We have installed a paper towel dispenser and non-toxic cleanser/anti-fungal spray to use to clean the equipment. Please help in the spread of germs by wiping down the equipment after using and return the spray to the original location.
2-2-11 There was another burglary in Chapel Park today while the residents were at work. Please be on alert for suspicious persons, vehicles or activities. Get to know your neighbors. Watch out for one another. Email one of the Board Members if you are interested in volunteering on the Neighborhood Watch. This will help make our community a safer place to live.
2-1-11 Statements for January and February were received today. Please make sure to pay your dues no later than February 28th in order to avoid a late fee. The reason the dues have changed is because of our transition to a management company. Not only will this make our HOA more efficient but it will allow homeowners to pay dues online! All financial reports and payments to contractors will be managed by the company as well as enforcement of rules and covenants. Decisions will still be made by a Board of Directors who are volunteers from the community who are in good standing.
As a follow up to the feral cat situation: live animal traps will be placed around the community in undisclosed locations. Feral animals caught in these traps will be turned over to Animal Control officers. It is HIGHLY suggested that you keep your domesticated pets indoors or on leashes to avoid being caught by the traps accidentally. Pets do need to be licensed and up to date on all vaccinations as there has been a problem with the spread of disease among animals in our community. Please show respect and courtesy to your neighbors by following the rules in regards to your pets which includes the above mentioned items, in addition to leashing and cleaning up after your dogs.
Parking on the street continues to be a problem in Chapel Park and we have had to give final warnings to vehicles frequently over the past week. Your vehicles are preventing the access of emergency vehicles on our streets. Continuing to ignore this puts all of us at risk and will not be tolerated. Towing will strictly be enforced for repeated offenders of those parking on the streets and/or blocking fire hydrants.
10-28-10 There was an attempted break in here in Chapel Park today. Please be on high alert and watch for ANYTHING suspicious. If you need to report something please call the NON-emergency number at 912-652-6500. A description of vehicles that MAY be involved in recent break-ins around the area are a gold colored Chevy Malibu and a grey colored sedan, possibly a Nissan. They have been backing up the garages of homes that they have been hitting in order to quickly load up and take off.
10-26-10 Trick or Treating will take place in Chapel Park on Saturday the 30th RATHER than Sunday the 31st due to Chatham County Officials' recommendation.
10-14-10 The power has been off at the amenity center for about 24 hours. We are working on this issue with Georgia Power and apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to have it fixed by this evening. The new light pole is on order and should be repaired very soon.
9-25-10 There have been confirmed burglaries in the Villages at Berwick AND the apartments near Kroger in the past week. Please be on the alert for suspicious vehicles or persons in our community. The homes were being watched for a length of time so they knew the resident's schedules. If you need to report something suspicious, please call the NON-emergency number for the police at 912-652-6500.
9-3-10 Happy Labor Day Weekend! The pool will remain open through September! Please remember no glass items allowed in or around the pool area! Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
8-10-10 If your access card doesn't work it could be one of two things: either you have an unpaid balance on your account (possibly due to a late fee, fine, or unpaid dues) OR you requested a six digit code to be assigned to your card. This code must be entered after you scan your card. Please do not ask other residents to let you into the pool and PLEASE do not let other people into the pool without a working card!
7-28-10 The new pool furniture has arrived! Enjoy your amenities center and new furniture! Please do not prop the front gate open or allow access to those without an access key card. Request your access card by clicking on the tab at the left. All dues and fines must be up to date in order for your card to be active.
7-19-10 REMINDER: The pool is closed every Monday for pool chemical treatment, cleaning, and maintenance. DO NOT JUMP THE FENCE AND SWIM! There is a chain and lock on the gate because of the higher amounts of chemicals in the pool that can be dangerous to your health.
7-14-10 New card reader was installed and programmed at the pool gate. Please use access card to enter the pool and fitness center. Children under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult or the card holder risks being fined. This is a Georgia state law and will be enforced.
New pool furniture is being delivered sometime in the next few weeks!
7-12-10 The new card reader is being installed tomorrow at the pool gate. The gate will remain locked Tuesday night until the new card reader can be programmed on Wednesday. Amenity cards can be obtained through Kayla at treasurer@chapelparkhoa.com as long as the homeowner is current on all dues. Questions can be emailed to me at president@chapelparkhoa.com.
David has currently taken a job in Myrtle Beach, SC and has resigned his position as President. Vice-President Stephanie Cleary has taken over as President and the Board will be looking for a fifth member. Contact president@chapelparkhoa.com if you are interested in getting involved!

5-8-09- Attention Homeowners- we are still awaiting the county pool inspection. As you may be aware there are some new requirements that have been put into place this year with the new pool drains. Our replacement drains have been installed, but the paperwork for these updates has caused a delay in getting all of the pool inspected as quickly as we would like. All of the pools in Chatam County must be inspected at this time so they are very busy. Our pool vendor is doing everything possible to get the pool inspected as soon as possible. Please do not swim in the pool until it has been inspected.
5-1-09- Chatham County has not yet inspected the pool, once the inspection is complete this site will be updated immediatley. This site will always contain the most current information available.
4-27-09- POOL OPENING- Attention Homeowners the pool will be opening VERY soon. Once the pool has been inspected by the Chatham County Health department we should be set to open. Please do not swim in the pool until it is open, the chemicals may not be safe for swimming and having people in the pool prior to it being inspected could cause the pool to be forced closed by the Health Department. This site will be updated once the inspection is completed.
4-13-09- Chapel Park Community Garage/Yard Sale, Saturday May 16, 2009 8-noon. Following the yard sale there will be a Chapel Park Picnic by the pool from 2-3 p.m. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs will be provided by the board and we would like everyone to bring a side dish.
